    Balfour Beatty Construction in Atlanta, Georgia is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our Large projects team. This team works on ground-up projects equal to or greater than $25 million in the local Atlanta area. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting the Project Manager in managing all administrative and technical requirements for construction projects. Assists in all activities related to contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, project financial projections, and schedule requirements to ensure projects are completed in a quality, profitable way, adhering to our Safety/Zero Harm culture.

  • Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management or an Engineering related field. 
  • At least 5 years or more of previous commercial construction office or field experience in a Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, or Assistant Project Manager role. 
  • 2 years or more of direct supervisory experience related to subcontractor management. 
  • Experience with project manager software (Constructware, P6, Timberline, etc.).
  • Experience with cost projection, financial analysis, budget reviews, labor reports.
  • Experience with JD Edwards or similar construction application(s).
  • Proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, the internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook).
  • Preferred Experience

  • Tier 1 commercial construction experience helpful, but, not required. 
  • Local qualified candidates highly desired for this role.
  • Previous or current ground-up commercial construction experience, highly desired.
