Robert Half Finance currently has a Commodity Inventory Controller position open at a reputable company. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting product, and as needed selecting inventory, to match Customer Specifications. As the Commodity Inventory Controller you will work with Supervisors to plan and create daily Production and Sales Order allocations. You will work closely with the Shipping and/or Production Managers regarding selection of product for specific customer orders. The Commodity Inventory Controller must possess effective communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to multitask. This position requires you to be detail-oriented, focused and strive for success under minimal supervision. Major responsibilities - Handle special tasks per request - Communicating with internal business partners to provide first-rate customer service - Oversee material received to determine irregularities, inspecting articles and rejecting defective ones - Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; provide compliance with Company policies - Essential duties include counting, classifying, and maintaining an expansive inventory of items - Develop close working relationship with the Purchasing Manager and Inventory Analyst - Performing all necessary internal and external audit assistance
Job Requirements- Prefer AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting - Comfortable with logistics records concerned with quantity, cost, and type of material received, in stock, or issued - Background in inventory preferred - Will need to learn significant Product / Industry knowledge - Candidates with previous experience using Inventory Management Software preferred - Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data - Knowledge of inventory management - Solid understanding of inventory - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Be detailed, flexible, and organized - Primary experience in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) preferred - Competent with spreadsheets and databases
