The Role

 

We are seeking a highly experienced people and process leader to impact sales force effectiveness and manage functions essential to sales productivity through the leadership of our highly talented Sales Operations team.  This senior leader will take a methodical approach to planning, implementing and managing all operational aspects of our global sales team. Through data analysis, the individual in this role will provide recommendations to strategically enhance company performance and sales initiatives while maintaining a strong focus on reporting.  The ideal candidate will identify market/competitor trends, budget and forecast annual and quarterly sales objectives and arm their team with both the overall vision of where the company is headed as well as flawlessly execute a plan to further drive sales results company wide.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to the sales operations team, maximizing the talent of the team to help them reach their highest professional potential
  • Direct the planning, sales forecasting, reporting & analytics, territory and goal setting and management, sales incentive design and administration, sales process optimization, sales program implementation, and sales technology and tools
  • Facilitate the successful implementation of new programs through the sales organization by ensuring a well-defined, efficient and documented process is in place for launch.
  • Oversee the creation of various reporting tools and dashboards to enable the flow of information to support sales decision-making and company wide business intelligence
  • Manage the development and maintenance of departmental timelines and establish processes to insure all sales deliverables are completed according to plan
  • Create, implement and continuously improve processes and procedures for the sales organization, utilizing systems and tools developed to support international growth
  • Collaborate with leadership throughout the organization to ensure the success and growth of retailer facing programs while aligning company vision with day to day execution
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business or related field; MBA or similar advanced degree preferred
  • 15 years of progressively responsible sales/operations leadership experience, preferably with entrepreneurial companies with high growth; international experience strongly preferred but not required
  • Well-rounded experience across the full spectrum of business operations and sales
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate and mobilize professionals at all levels
  • Expert level communication and presentation skills
  • Natural project management mindset and track record of delivering world class results to agreed timelines
  • Highly skilled at taking sales ideas and turning them into actionable plans that can be delivered to a deadline; ability to provide consultative input to senior leadership regarding performance and productivity analysis and suggest optimal solutions
  • Patient listener, who respects the opinions and ideas of others and can comfortably implement a project plan or idea different from their own
  • Demonstrate skills in data management, data analysis, analytics software, and reporting metrics
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite, CRM, BI and Project Management tools; experience with SalesForce highly valued
