Job Description Overview

Group O is searching for a Production Lead to join its growing team! The Production Lead is responsible for scheduling/coordinating department work activities, training/coaching department members to perform relevant department practices, monitoring the order status of each job through the production process and assisting where needed.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule and coordinate work flow of orders within or between departments and warehouse to expedite production: Reviews, schedules and update job board.
  • Partner with Technician Support Manager to confirm client requirements and flashing protocols.
  • Communicate priorities for specific customer orders and schedule according to work order specifications, established priorities, and availability or capability of workers, parts, material, and equipment.
  • Define, standardize, maintain and train team members on work procedures and tools to improve quality and productivity.
  • Track progress of work and provide information on changes in processing methods.
  • Maintain inventory of materials and parts needed to complete production.
  • Identify and prioritize the workload for all areas of responsibility align shift resources to areas to meet production demands.
  • Monitor the productivity, efficiency and accuracy of all processes and resources.
  • Suggest modifications to established procedures and improve quality to reduce cost.
  • Track employee work activities and time spent on department related activities.
  • Coordinate, expedite, and process orders into warehouse management system for shipping.
  • Report discrepancies and quarantine as necessary.
  • Perform the quality audit function when necessary.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work area.
  • Develop a team environment and promote a positive attitude within department.
  • Demonstrate safety procedures and safe equipment operation to new employees.
  • Confer with management, peers or subordinates to resolve employee issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Skills  

  • Microsoft Office Suite Outlook and Warehouse Management System
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Self managed
  • Deadline meeting
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Working overtime when required
  • Bending, standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods of time
  • Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience supervising and/or developing others and technology
