Will operate from the Sector headquarters in Nashua, NH, one hour from Boston

Quality Acumen
Program bid and execution experience in competitive environments. Experience in leading, managing and developing people. Experience in pioneering, finding, sharing and deploying best practices. Verbal and written communication appropriate for executive level interactions. Effective indirect influencing and collaboration of large diverse communities.

Job Duties
Lead the Quality Improvement group, responsible for Enterprise Improvement, EMPOWER Continuous Improvement, Audit and Quality Training and Development reporting directly to the VP of Quality for the Electronic Systems sector. Coordinate quality efforts with key stakeholders including Business Area VP/GMs, the ES community, functional VPs and other members of the BAE Systems Leadership Team at Inc and plc as needed

Represent ES to selected external quality organizations and customers.

Be the sponsor for the continuous improvement suggestion program and other business process improvement activities

Job Summary

Develops and implements program quality plans and procedures. Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies and data related to production. Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Interfaces with stakeholders to ensure requirements are met. Recommends corrective actions, dispositions, process optimization and modifications.

  • Bachelor's Degree and 12 years work experience or equivalent experience
  • Quality Director experience in a multi-billion-dollar organization within a highly regulated environment.
  • Significant experience with (AS9100, ISO 9000)
  • Certified AS9100/ISO Auditor
  • Extensive experience utilizing Quality Science Tools
  • Hands on experience driving a Zero Defect cultural change within an organization
  • 12 + years of project, program, portfolio quality leadership and management in aerospace & defense hardware and software technology

  • Preferred Skills and Education
  • Lean Six Sigma experience
  • Active SSBI and Secret or higher clearances
  • Technical MS and MBA degrees
