Job Description The Contingency Distribution Center Manager leads the efforts towards effective and efficient utilization of all facility production personnel and physical activities to achieve desired effects in accordance with established policies and procedures. Identifies facility strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats and organizes and directs facility resources in order to support business objectives. Participates with management and supervisory team in staff training efforts and developmental opportunities. Essential Job Functions - Provides leadership, work direction, and supervision of facility personnel responsible for all tasks related to the distribution of company product. - Plans and assigns work to ensure production and improvement goals are met. - Monitors work production and holds staff accountable to established productivity, quality, and safety standards. - Provides training and coaching to team members as necessary. - Enforces policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner. - Oversees workflow of product through receiving, VAS, picking, packing, and shipping - Ensures facility staff enforces company policies and procedures including facility-wide safety rules and employee rules of conduct. - Assists with the development and implementation of best practices. - Provides feedback, encouragement, and a positive example to staff in order to motivate and foster a positive working environment. - Ensures the safety of the personnel, product, assets, and building. Other Duties & Responsibilities - Additional projects and tasks as assigned by company management. Minimum Requirements - Bachelor-s Degree in management, logistics, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and related experience required - 5 to 10 years- experience in warehouse or distribution center experience required - SAP experience preferred - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word required - Ability to interact with a variety of people in a lead role. - Strong and effective interpersonal communication skills. - Ability to organize, coordinate, and direct others. - Ability to self-motivate and self-manage. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Strong team player with the ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently within deadlines. - Excellent organizational and time management skills. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and math skills. - Communication/Language: Bilingual (Spanish & English) Required Preferred Not Applicable Supervisory Responsibility Oversees all personnel within the Distribution Center organizational structure. All DC Supervisors and administrative staff have a dotted-line reporting relationship to this position. Working Conditions/Physical/Mental Demands Front office physical surroundings are generally pleasant and comfortable with minimal exposure to injury or other hazards. Minimal physical effort required; normally seated with the freedom of movement on a regular basis, handling of light materials. Does require ability to move through and work in a warehouse environment that has moving vehicles and loud noises. Minimal travel required
