Accountemps requires a Payroll Administrator for payroll processing and demands proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. This dedicated and passionate team is excited to offer you this incredible opportunity. The Payroll Administrator opportunity will be located in Boise, Idaho as a short term temporary role. How you will make an impact - Other duties as assigned - Resolving payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information - Manage and review, including verify, source documents - Calculate employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments to establish payroll liabilities - Take charge of all questions and requests related to payroll - Ensure employee confidence by protecting payroll operations and confidential information - Provide help with all internal and external audits of payroll - Handle reconciliation of employee deductions and other relevant liabilities - Exercise of proper data management by collecting, calculating, and entering payroll data - Facilitate company compliance according to federal and state regulations and guidelines - Report changes where necessary after maintaining payroll operations via company policies and procedures - Payroll record maintenance by tracking changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers - Compile summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages as part of report preparation - Put together for department heads the circulation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports
Job Requirements- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis - Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required - Mastery of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements - Payroll experience desired - Certified Payroll Professional will be given preference - Prior experience working with collections/accounting software - Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills - Previous experience handling high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc. - Well-informed in basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen - 2+ years of strong payroll experience - Mastery of internal controls
