Job Description

Oticon, a world leader in the manufacturer of advanced hearing technology & solutions is currently seeking a Tax Accountant at the corporate headquarters located in Somerset, NJ.

The Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing all tax packages and supplemental documentation for all legal entities used in the preparation of the corporate income tax returns. The Tax accountant will be responsible for obtaining and filing for all business licenses for all legal entities to ensure compliance in all jurisdictions. The accountant will be responsible for obtaining all tax exemption certificates for all qualifying entities. Other responsibilities include researching and resolving tax notices and completing ad hoc tasks and projects assigned by management.



Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparing all tax packages and supplemental documentation for all legal entities
  • Assists US Tax Accounting Manager with all functions pertaining to corporate income tax when needed
  • Responsible for obtaining, distributing, paying and billing back all business licenses and certificates for all entities in all jurisdictions
  • Responsible for tracking the status of all business licenses and certificates for all entities insuring compliance for all locations
  • Responsible for obtaining all tax exemption certificates for all qualifying entities
  • Researches and resolves tax notices received
  • Completes all other tasks and projects assigned by the US Tax Accounting Manager


  • Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting is required
  • Four to five years’ practical experience is preferred
  • Experience with general ledger accounting/month end close is a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Good problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
