Our resort is located on International, Orlando places you within 3 miles of popular attractions like SeaWorld and Discovery Cove. We are a Vacation Ownership resort that also rents villa (1 and 2 bedroom villas with kitchen, dining / living room, patios etc.) that are not occupied by our Owners.

Job Description

The Activities Associate is responsible for delivering an industry best recreation program by hosting activities and events with a high level of enthusiasm and professional maturity to ensure guest loyalty.

We're hiring for full-time, part-time and seasonal positions.

  • Responsible for the selling of resort merchandise and maintaining a thorough knowledge of the POS system.
  • Maintain inventory in retail locations, apply knowledge of merchandise available for guests and utilize appropriate up-sell techniques with all available products.
  • Provide exceptional guest service and assistance related to activity programs as well as general informational and directional needs.
  • Provide accurate communication and promotion of guest activities and resort special event programs to guests and owners.
  • Maintain and operate all recreation areas including two activity centers, two retail operations, storage facilities and any other areas utilized for activities.
  • Responsible for creating, planning and implementing activities and events within the resort which include children’s programs, adult activities, special events and holiday programs while collaborating and coordinating as needed with other departments.
  • Perform various other duties as needed or requested by management.

  • Requirements

    18 years of age minimum
    Must have a valid Florida license
    Previous resort experience or experience working specifically in event planning or in a recreational setting is preferred.
    Associates/Bachelor degree in recreation, education or in a related field or working towards this degree is a plus.
    Must possess the confidence and showmanship to convey a sense of fun and enthusiasm with a “spirit to serve” attitude and to individually lead a variety of programs and convey a sense of fun and enthusiasm to participants.
    Enjoy being with people, convey an authentic generosity of spirit and display a positive attitude and openness to feedback.
    Energetic and fun while projecting an image of courtesy and professionalism at all times.
    Must be able to actively engage and involve guests and owners in all programs offered. Must be creative, resourceful and exhibit the desire to research current trends with reference to creating, planning and implementing innovative, exciting programs for the guests and owners.
    The position requires a positive attitude and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in the primary language used in the workplace (English).
    Regular attendance in conformance with standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
    Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
    Most work tasks are performed outdoors on a year round basis in the Florida climate which is very hot and humid in the summers and chilly in the winters.
    Work is in direct sunlight a large part of the day.
    Position requires walking and a high level of mobility up to and including sports activities, fitness and dancing.
    Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours in length. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.
    Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach different outlets and other departments of the resort on a timely basis.
    Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. On a regular and continuing basis
