Job Description This Test Engineer is primarily responsible for gathering equipment and system performance specifications for shipboard cable plant, radars, communications, Electromagnetic Inference (EMI) and interface systems on each construction contract and incorporating those specifications into structured procedures to be performed for ensuring that equipment and system performance complies with the specifications required. Additionally, this Test Engineer provides dockside support and collaborates with Engineering and Operations (Installation and test personnel). Support includes but is not limited to, providing direction relative to test requirements, test specifications, and methods of test conduct, including any required documentation. This Test Engineer also provides any necessary interaction with vendors or Government In Service Engineering Agents ( ISEA) to resolve system or equipment design issues.

Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment. Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed. Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area. #CB

Basic Qualifications:
2 Years experience with Electrical, Electronics, Communication, EMI and/or Radar systems with Bachelors in Science. A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
