Construction Inspector/Residential Project Representative
Contract 6-12 months with potential to convert to a permanent position.
Must have a background in water and sewer systems construction
Inspects and oversees construction work to ensure that procedures and materials comply with plans and specifications:
Measures distances to verify accuracy of dimensions of installations and layouts. Verifies levels, alignment, and elevation of installations.
Examines quality of finished installations for conformity to standard and contract documents.
Interprets blueprints and specifications for construction and discusses deviations from specified construction procedures to ensure compliance with regulations governing construction.
Records quantities of materials received or used during specified periods.
Maintains daily log of construction and inspection activities and compares progress reports.
Computes monthly estimates of work completed and reviews payment for contractors prior to Engineers approval.
Prepares sketches of construction installations that deviate from blueprints and reports such changes immediately and ensures changes are incorporated into record drawings.
Degree is not required however an engineer/intern would be considered for this position with the ablilty to work into an engineering positions.
