Job Description Cardno is seeking a Quantitative Ecologist in our Newark, Delaware office.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

> Field investigation and sampling/study design (including oil spill response)
> Field surveys (wetland delineations, RTE species habitat surveys; water & soil/sediment sampling)
> Data analysis and modeling using R, STATA, @Risk, or visual basic, and/or Microsoft Excel
> Generating summary statistics, charts/graphs, reports, and conducting other assessments of the data
> Writing various reports pertaining to the data
> Data collection
>Task and database management
Job RequirementsMinimum Qualifications:

> Bachelor’s degree in wildlife biology, ecology, fisheries science or related field
> Ability to organize data, create charts and graphs using R, STATA, visual basic, and/or Microsoft Excel
> Must be willing and able to work occasional nights and weekends to meet project deadlines
> Must be eligible to work in the US without company sponsorship
> Ability to travel to field sites and other Cardno office locations throughout North America

Desired Qualifications:

> Master’s degree in wildlife biology, ecology, statistics, or related field with experience in data analysis and statistical modeling
> Experience with field surveys and/or assessments
> Familiarity with biological models, population models, etc.
> Entry level to five years of related work experience
> Educational and/or work experience includes focus on environmental and/or natural resource applications
> Solid time-management and follow-through skills, with the ability to simultaneously work on multiple tasks and projects with tight deadlines
> OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hr Certification
