Job Description Grade:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Maintain pool area, ensuring guests receive prompt and courteous attention, enforce all pool rules and regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND TASKS

  • Adheres to the policies and procedures of the Pool Department.
  • Provides positive service standards including but not limited to courtesy, sincerity and enthusiasm to all guests of the Hotel.
  • Performs Attendant duties including but not limited to providing towel service and proper seating of guests at the Beau Rivage pool, pick up and deliver dirty towels and retrieve and stock clean towels.
  • Maintains a clean and neat pool reception desk.
  • Monitors and maintains a clean and safe pool area including the enforcement of all safety rules and regulations for the pool and deck.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested by the Lead Pool Attendant and Pool Supervisor.
  • Presents a neat, clean, and professional appearance in accord with Beau Rivage standards.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    High School diploma or equivalent and 1 year customer service experience.

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.

  • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude and ability to deal effectively with guests and management.
  • Good attendance, a "positive" attitude, team player skills are a must.
  • PHYSICAL DEMAND:

  • Constantly standing, walking several hundred feet, balancing, eye/hand coordination.
  • Frequently climbing, running, twisting, manual dexterity, handling, wrist motion, bending/stooping, sitting, reaching, throwing.
  • Frequently lifting and carrying up to 80 lbs., pushing, pulling.
  • Frequently hearing, speaking, listening to communicate with guests and employees.
  • Occasionally smelling, kneeling.
  • Constantly remembering/paying attention to/observing details, making decisions, following directions.
  • Constantly mentally alert.
  • WORKING CONDITIONS:

    Duties performed outdoors in changing temperatures and weather conditions.  Noise level is moderate. Must be able to work alone and with others.   Hazards may include cleaning chemicals and obstacles in pathways and odors.

    WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS:

    Regular scheduled hours. Must be flexible if needed for occasional work outside of normal business hours.
