Responsible for sales effort and growth within the Western territory while undergoing training in product sales techniques.
Promote Highway product lines to government agencies, contractors, distributors and OEM's.
Routinely communicate market activities and conditions to appropriate Potter's personnel.
Make organized, effective technical presentations to satisfy customer needs.
Reports to VP of Highway Safety
Minimum one to four years of sales experience with proven success record
BS degree required, Technical degree preferred
Direct sales experience to OEM's, contractors, distributors, government agencies preferable.
Self-motivated and proactive with ability to work independently, establish and adjust priorities as required on a continual basis
Good verbal and written communication skills are essential
Knowledge of territory geography highly desirable
Must be able to adapt to a wide variety of customer types and customer job functions
Must have good customer service experience and strong problem solving orientation
Personable individual, professional with technical selling skills
Computer knowledge, strong Word and Excel ability
60% travel required. Preferably resides within close proximity of major airport.
