Job Description

Arcadis is seeking an Engineering Project Manager in the New York/New Jersey area. Successful candidates will have at least 10 years experience in progressively responsible positions in design, design management and project management of multi-discipline infrastructure projects including airports (land side and/or air side), bridges, tunnels, ports and/or terminals ranging from $500,000 to $20 million in value. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of the New York metro area transportation industry, project controls methods, have management experience on multi-discipline design projects for all project phases of work including preparation of project scope, design management, design reviews, coordination with facilities, delivery of complete design documents for bidding and construction. Experience working with/in large public agencies a plus.This position is contingent upon contract award.Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct kick off meetings with different Client facilities.
  • Develop the scope of work for projects with the facility staff and design team.
  • Manage the design team to that scope.
  • Manage any scope changes.
  • Perform design reviews of the design documents during the design phase.
  • Observe and manage the project schedules.
  • Use internal Client Project Controls to perform regular reporting for projects.
  • Independently write status reports and correspondence for the projects.
  • Management of multiple projects of various sizes.
  • Job RequirementsRequired Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Project Management.
    • Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) licensed in NY and/or NJ, or Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification.
    • Design, Design Management and Project Management experience (minimum 10 years) required on multidiscipline infrastructure projects.
    • Experience required in all project phases from scope development to preparation design documents into construction.
    • Excellent written and oral communication abilities required. Proven report writing abilities required.
