Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is looking for an Accounting Specialist II in Seattle, Washington (WA).Job Overview:The Accounting Specialist will be performing a variety of analytical accounting duties. You will reconcile bank and vendor accounts, posts to and balances general ledger, processes payments and compiles segments of monthly closings. Area of responsibility may include accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management or capital accounting.Responsibilities:
  • Answers and resolves all internal and external customer queries relating to invoice, payment, and reconciliation of holds or exceptions
  • Maintains master files and initiates various processes
  • Verifies invoice information to company and government requirements
  • May prepares invoices for payment including matching invoices to receipts and purchase orders, and ensuring proper authorization for payment
  • Provides analysis on all exceptions and proactively communicates and resolves exceptions
  • Run / Monitor error and exception reports
  • Resolves accounting questions and issues. Researches and responds to internal and external customer inquiries
  • Verifies accuracy, completeness and consistency of accounting information received and AP accounting reported
  • Includes records creation, managing disbursements data, audit responses, expenses and other payments
  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
  • Job Requirements

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • 2 years of experience in responding to customer inquiries and issues in an office environment
    • 2 years of experience in business area specific accounting
    • 2 years of experience in multi-national, multi-currency
    • Working on a team of 5+ members, large ERP system experience
    • Large ERP system experience; Oracle R12 preferred
    • Strong AP background in customer service skills and problem solving with 2 years Accounting experience (Familiar with electronic 3 & 2- Way PO match)
    • Professional in customer service best in class standards
    • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
    • Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
    • Attention to detail
    • Effective customer service skills
    • Flexible to change
    • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
    • Ability to use online accounting systems
    • Oracle R12 preferred
    • Proficient in Excel, Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP
