Job Description Grade:

It is the primary responsibility of the Wedding Chapel Supervisor to ensure overall customer service and satisfaction by overseeing the daily operation, business administration, and departmental controls of the Wedding Chapel, its’ respective employees, and customers. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices and procedures.

  • Supervise assigned operational functions as directed by Wedding Chapel Manager to achieve the department’s financial goals.
  • Communicate directly with the Wedding Chapel Manager regarding any and all changes of procedures, schedules, services, products, employee issues, concerns, disciplinary action, commendations, and all matters regarding business concerns, customer issues, and interdepartmental subjects.
  • Handle guest relations including complaints, assistance and inquiries.
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining all clerical and inventory supplies.
  • Prepare and accurately maintain all weekly employee schedules based upon business needs and demands.
  • Ensure accuracy of payroll on a weekly basis.
  • Maintain accurate employee personal files and records including attendance, disciplinary action and commendations.
  • Research new revenue generating ideas for the chapel.
  • Research structures and pricing of new packages.
  • Provide ideas and suggestions to improve departmental operations.
  • Book, schedule, and execute all aspects of wedding events.
  • Perform reception duties including answering phones and filing as necessary.
  • Ensure adequate training of all new hires and current employees.
  • Assist with quarterly staff development meetings.
  • Meet with staff regularly to maintain effective working relationships.
  • Communicate and coordinate with other departments and outside services.
  • Responsible for the education, training, and motivation of the staff.
  • Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department.
  • Performs all other job related duties as requested.
  • Required:

  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • At least 2 years of coordinator, sales or event planning experience.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and multitask.
  • Excellent customer skills.
  • Able to lead and mentor a team.
  • Have interpersonal skill to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both in written and oral form.
  • Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Working knowledge of the latest trends in wedding products and services, food, music and ceremony.
  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
  • Job Requirements
