Primary Responsibilities:

To effectively and efficiently performinternal technical accreditation review functions in the certification sectorfor SGS North America. Verification of the service (s) delivered for therespective standard meets specific requirements and coordination of thetechnical review process. 

Specific Responsibilities:

  •  Perform technical reviews of completed audit reports and associated certification files for the standards qualified to support certification decisions.
  • Interact with auditors and office personal for audit activities assuring documentation and records are corrected in a timely manner.
  • Complete post APR reviews on certification files to ensure accurate/correct information is contained in the client files and updating applicable internal data bases including CertNet, SharePoint and Applaudd
  • Ensure the SGS procedures are followed in regard to the technical review process.
  • Assist the Technical Team in the completion of associated technical reviews and accreditation activities.
  • Participate in the new product development process and understand the technical requirements for the standard being considered.
  • Act as a member of the internal audit team.
  • Support technical activities during accreditation audits.
  • Provide support to product managers for the status and actions required to complete an APR and make certification decision.
  • Provide support for the issuance of certificates.
  • When required and by product support all affiliates with the certification decision and technical review process.
  • Assist the VP of Accreditation and Technical Team in any other tasks assigned.
  • Job Requirements

    Education, Skills and Experience:

    • A post-secondary education in a recognized administration program is preferred
    • Previous working experience in a technical related certification role
    • Completed Lead Auditor training for ISO related standards and another international standard as required
    • Initiative to seek new solutions and new ways of doing things with a focus on continuous improvement
    • Logical approach to Problem Solving
    • Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner
    • Candidates must be proficient in using various type of computer software (Word, Excel, etc.).
    • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills including grammar and composition
    • Ability to work well with others & independently
    • Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.
    • Works well under pressure
    • Extended hours may be required from time to time
    • Ensures full compliance with the company’s Health & Safety, Code of Integrity, and Professional Conduct policies
