Contract Length: 12 Months

Our client is one of the oldest independent biotech companies in the world, with a commitment to innovation, excellence, and continual improvement of quality of life for people around the globe. They are currently looking for a Business Analyst - Learning Health System to join their dedicated team.

What You'll Do:

  • Analyze data flow from source to target
  • Work with portal developers and others to deliver functions to the portal
  • Develop operational dashboards
  • Document the processes 
  • Identify areas of weakness that might need to be addressed 
  • Develop recommendations for streamlining operations  
  • Help drive execution and test recommended improvements 
  • Who You Are:

  • At least 3 years of experience in Biotech/Pharma or healthcare informatics
  • Experience and comfort with Agile development processes; able to work on a team in two week sprints
  • Experience working with external vendors on software implementation
  • Experience performing UAT
  • Able to gather requirements from stakeholders and collaborate cross-functionally 
  • Willing to take the initiative, doesn't wait to be asked to do something
  • Ability to gain consensus on issues when there are conflicting points of view 
  • Proven attention to detail and ability to analyze requirements 
  • Ability to lead teams through various options, use cases, and/or scenarios to come up with the best solution, and potentially a phased approach, for earlier wins 
  • Knowledge of data and health information or projects involving health care informatics, interfaces and data types. E.g. EMR HL7, DiCOM, RIS, biobanking, and device/JSON/XML files; or comfort with new data types, and the ability to work on projects based on these data types
  • Collaborative attitude to work with VBM and Accenture as a partner, so that data isn’t “thrown over the wall”, but successfully managed from source to target
  • Strong analytic capability to diagnose problems and develop solutions
  • Technical acumen to be able to work with the data and engineering team on troubleshooting data flow issues, and designing solutions, and more importantly, operational procedures to correct the problems. Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and writing simple SQL queries a bonus
