Position Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Field Services Specialist who will provide ordering and tracking, technical support, installation and troubleshooting of computers, printers, routers & switches, wireless devices and other plant related equipment in the Columbia, SC area.   

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and resolve potential issues that could adversely impact end user experience
  • Ensure corporate standards are met and being followed
  • Record software licenses to ensure compliance with vendor contracts
  • Maintain and keep current the information in the company's computer asset database
  • Extensive daily travel will be required, with occasional overnight stays
  • Provide on-call, after hours and vacation coverage of Field Tech support 
  • Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science preferred
  • A+ Network or CCNA certifications preferred
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in servicing/deploying computer equipment required
  • Strong network, physical wiring and PC knowledge required
  • Detail oriented with ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Strong troubleshooting skills; proven analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
