We are seeking an enthusiastic, people-oriented GC Application Scientist for Agilent's Life Sciences and Applied Markets Group (LSAG). In this position, you will work with Account Managers utilizing your technical skills to provide customers with application and technical support.

Key responsibilities:

-Primary function is pre- sales technical and application support to customers (external customers and internal sales) for Agilent's Gas Chromatography product line.
-This includes current GC portfolio, new products and customer’s analytical equipment refresh programs.
-Is responsible for meeting sales targets and for supporting sales organization to meet targets.
-Is responsible to perform effective demos of GC systems and promotes Agilent's Gas Chromatography products to customers.
-Aids in training of the Sales force, as well as evaluates and supports management on ramp to volume strategies for new products prior to release.
-Prepares and delivers technical seminars to customers, potential customers and works with Agilent's sales teams to aid in the development of technical sales strategies.
-Is responsible to provide regular communication of customer feedback, market and technical trends to the GC product line technical team for product quality, sales and sales process improvements. Provides same for related GC system components ex. consumables and informatics.
-Contributes to the development of new applications for the Gas Chromatography product line including writing application briefs to highlight product capabilities; contributes to recognized scientific forums, including written, oral and poster presentations


Additional responsibilities:

-Perform post sales responsibilities for customers as required. This can include training, method development and consulting on or off-site.
-Is responsible to maintain technical competency by attending trainings and participating in technical field and solution unit activities and communications. Description: Qualifications: This position will be located in Wilmington, Delaware.

Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Chemistry or Bachelors in Chemistry
- 2+ years of related experience
- Experience with a broad range of GC detectors and accessories
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation communications skills
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office
- Strong project management experience skills
- Available for flexible work schedule and business up to 70% business travel
