Assist residents with eating (including safeguards to prevent choking, following diets, use of utensils, etc.), give instructions or training when needed, and feed residents unable to feed themselves.
Implement and document behavior programs that are individualized to resident.
Monitor and chart resident behavior using specific and descriptive terms (i.e., behavior changes, drug reactions, accidents, injuries, seizures, etc.)
Provide active treatment to residents.
Assist residents with cleaning the units and their bedrooms daily.
Complete incident/accident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
Provide care and/or conduct patient/resident interactions in a manner appropriate for the age, culture, and population being served.
Using appropriate serving utensils (scoops or ladles), ensure residents receive the correct portion size according to the diet ordered by the physician.
Follows all safety policies and adheres to all worker's compensation program guidelines.
Other duties as assigned.
