We are seeking an experienced Sales Support Manager to join our team. This role will ensure the sales support team assists customers in all aspects of their shipping needs while meeting all contractual and regulatory requirements. In addition, the Support Manager will ensure all daily booking requests pertaining to, cargo receiving at terminals, vessel load confirmation, vessel schedules, and reporting requirements are met. This role is responsible for the development and management of the sales support policies and procedures, and serves as backup to the department general manager.
College degree preferred
10 years of customer service or related ocean transportation experience, prior government experience preferred.
US citizenship required to access US government application
Extensive knowledge of the Universal Services Contract performance requirements and the associated government portal applications
Ability to evaluate information and develop solutions
Skilled in a full range of international customer service functions, including hazardous cargo, customs, and USDA procedures
General knowledge of Word, PowerPoint & Outlook. Advanced knowledge of Excel to include table formatting, pivot tables, complex formulas (i.e. VLOOKUP, concatenate)
Well organized and able to initiate process improvement, strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize and delegate workload
Please note this position will be moving to Parsippany NJ Spring/Summer 2018
