  • WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Create and modify existing documentation to complete drawing packages, installation checklists, machine part lists, illustrations and machine specs of production equipment
  • Provide support to technicians to create and modify existing documentation to complete drawing packages, installation checklists, machine part lists, illustrations and machine specs of production equipment
  • Provide mechanical equipment designs and layouts which meet company standards on CAD based format
  • Procure and expedite materials for new or modified equipment
  • Re-design mechanical components to reduce installation cost, solve equipment interferences, and correct inadequate designs
  • Incorporate redlined drawings into standard packages and follow-up with drafting services as required to resolve design issues
  • Complete documentation packages in Autodesk Inventor including conversion from legacy AutoCAD
  • Ensure updated documentation exists in assigned areas
  • HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED:

  • BS Mechanical Engineering Technology, AAS Mechanical Engineering Technology
  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • Ability to work well with varied job requirements
  • Ability to work well with people is essential
  • Presentation skills highly desirable
  • Well organized, results oriented and ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Strong practical hands-on mechanical aptitude
  • Electro-mechanical troubleshooting ability
  • Proficient with pneumatic and electrical schematics
  • Process variable understanding: flow, temperature, rate, pressure, level
  • Thorough understanding of mechanical drive trains, electrical and pneumatic actuators
  • GD&T understanding and experience
