Security Officers perform many tasks throughout their shifts; these tasks include providing day-to-day support of entry control, facility patrol and emergency management.
Essential Functions: Security officers may be asked to perform many essential functions at the client’s location. This is a not a complete list, these are a few of the essential functions:• Routine vehicle and/or foot patrol of facility and parking lot• Monitor the facility for conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards• Answering phones, greeting visitors and employees• Prepare reports as required and provide assistance to visitors and employees in a courteous and professional manner. • Monitor CCTV systems and alarms.• Respond to emergency situations and contact the proper authorities• Flexible to changes and adapts well to different situations.• Become familiar with site-specific manual and post orders• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:• Must have high school diploma or GED• Must be at least 18 years of age or older as required by contractual requirements• Must have a valid driver’s license• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain any applicable state licensing requirements for Security Officers.• Previous contract security, military or law enforcement experience is helpful• Able to work in a team or independent• Effective oral and written communication skills• Neat and professional appearance• Friendly and professional demeanor• Ability to provide quality customer service• Ability to assess and handle typical and crisis situations quickly and effectively at client’s site.
