Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed timely, accurately and in compliance with federal and state laws. Administer company pay policies. Maintenance of timekeeping records for compliance with established standards.
Prepare and audit payrolls for accuracy, to ensure compliance with federal & state laws, and established Company pay policies
Post payroll related changes in PeopleSoft system
Compute wage payments for terminations or adjustments for multi-state locations and entities
Review in-house system data results and correct out of balance conditions prior to finalizing bi-weekly payroll
Maintain garnishment and levy records
Provide customer support to Managers in the field
Prepare special payroll reports and perform data analysis
Maintain employee payroll records
Gather payroll related data for inclusion in financial statements
Assist with internal and external audits
Printing, sorting and express mail of payroll checks to various locations
Other duties as assigned
Accounting degree from an accredited college or university
4-6 years experience processing multi-state payroll. Working knowledge of payroll best practices. Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations. Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel. Working knowledge of PeopleSoft HR/Payroll and Kronos Time and Attendance systems. Strong work ethic and team player. High degree of professionalism. Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential material. Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills. Ability to communicate with various levels of management. Decision making, problem solving and analytical skills. Organizational, mulit-tasking and prioritizing skills.
CPP or FPC preferred, however is not required
