Job Description Centennial, Inc. has been retained by one of our highly valued world-class International clients to conduct a strategic recruitment search for their key role of:

– Technical Specialist –

This newly created position reports directly to the Executive Vice President of North America and will be located in their corporate offices in the Greater Cincinnati, Ohio Area.  Our client is a supplier of “cutting edge” automotive manufacturing quality inspection systems with specific high value added benefits to automotive suppliers of complex welded assemblies, body and chassis components, with proven unique capabilities far ahead of the industry specific technology curve.   


The Technical Specialist will be a professional who is totally comfortable with computers, possesses proficient communication/relationship skills, who is an enthusiastic self-starter and one who embraces “mechanical and automotive manufacturing quality standards”.

This fast paced organization is experiencing robust growth predicting to double their annual sales in 5 years due to high acceptance and sought after advanced technology by the automotive industry.

This highly visible role’s primary responsibility will be to set-up, calibrate equipment and software systems (both at the client site and remotely from the corporate office) to ensure they are performing correctly and optimally.  Embracing a strong passion for troubleshooting and helping clients with expert advice and service; this specialist will utilize technical and mechanical aptitudes with strong software based problem solving skills.  Significant additional knowledge will be provided for product specific training both locally and in Europe.

Job RequirementsQualifications / Experience
• Associates or Bachelors degree in computer science, mechanical technology or electronics. Equivalent work experience or technical certifications will be considered.
• Software based problem solving skills, operating system experience and mechanical aptitude
• Experience in System Programming (proprietary software) updating and calibration
• High level of PC Skills, comfortable with software including FTP , possessing expertise in Microsoft Office Suite
• Superior critical reasoning and analytical skills.
• Team oriented professional creating smooth, effective working relationships
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Independent performer, with exceptional organization and time management skills
• Ability to manage independent travel (approximately 40%) mostly domestic and some international
• High energy, results driven leader with solid work ethic
• “Hands On” – detail focused with commitment to adhering to strategic deadlines
• Highly preferred, but not mandated:
o Knowledge of GD&T, Metrology or automotive quality specifications
o Machine vision or other measurement of equipment
o AutoCad knowledge
o Project management experience
• Strong desire for continued professional/career development
• Valid driver license with ability to obtain passport
