Job Description Grade:

The Vending Attendant is responsible for ensuring proper stock and maintenance of the Vending Machines around property. This includes checking machines for expired product, effective product rotation, accurate tracking of items utilizing department supplied paperwork and communicating any issues with machines promptly to management. All duties are to be performed in accordance with department and property policies, practices and procedures.

  • Ensure proper filling of Vending Machines as assigned daily.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitization and organization of work areas.
  • Inspect, clean and evaluate vending machines in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  • Maintain stock, overall care, general maintenance and cleanliness of vending machines, as well as ensuring proper rotation of products.
  • Ensure all vending machines encountered throughout day are in good working condition, and ensure management is notified promptly of any defects.
  • Maintain vending inventory within machines, as well as inventory in storeroom.
  • Complete inventory order sheets and fill sheets and ensure they are turned in to the appropriate location.
  • Proactively seek to provide refined luxury service ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Meet the demands of a fast-paced environment by using good judgment and the ability to multi-task.
  • Practice teamwork, create a positive work environment, greet fellow employees and thank them when they lend assistance.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended (pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc).
  • Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
  • Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
  • Own all requests and complaints; resolve issues immediately and follow up to ensure the guest’s satisfaction.
  • Identify and report defects throughout the Hotel; notify supervisors immediately of hazards, injuries, equipment or processes that negatively affect the operations.
  • Participate in the property’s sustainability initiative through energy conservation and the use of recycling programs and materials.
  • Transport Vending machines for internal and external repairs.
  • Responsible for completing accurate vending cash drops in accordance with standard operating procedure while in dual control.
  • Perform all other job related duties as requested.
  • Required: 

  • At least 6 months of guest service experience.
  • Working knowledge of two-way radios and cellular devices.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Have interpersonal skill to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
  • Preferred:

  • At least 6 months of Vending and/or Mini Bar experience.
  • Working knowledge of electronic and mechanical devices and vending machines.
  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
