The RVP of Sales directs sales activities in assigned area (Greater Philadelphia, NJ and NY City). Usually has a smaller area/lower volume than a Regional Sales Manager.
Direct Tax Exempt Markets (TEM) Net New Sales activities in assigned area.
Works closely with core staff on increasing sales in the assigned area and in developing and maintaining relationships. May manage staff within the area.
Develops and recommends sales plans and budgets for assigned area.
Recommends marketing and sales support initiatives to support and maximize sales efforts. May assist marketing and product development staff in developing and launching new products.
May participate on special projects contributing directly to sales efforts in such areas as product development, marketing and compensation.
May conduct sales promotions and product training meetings.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
6-8 years of sales and/or marketing experience,
Extensive product knowledge within retirement, strong preference for 403B and 457 markets
Strong problem solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong presentation skills
Industry credentials a plus along with strong regional relationships
Series 6/63, State Life and Health insurance licenses required within 90 days of hire
Salesforce.com or comparable CRM database experience a plus
