Job Description Sr. SCCM Windows Engineer (Job Number:432177)


SAIC has an opening for a Sr. SCCM Windows Engineer located at Offutt AFB near Omaha, NE.

PAID RELOCATION to Omaha, NE is available.

Job Specific Responsibilities:

- Provide Microsoft System Center Engineering input to the Installation Design Plan (IDP) to support procurement, configuration management, and certification and accreditation of proposed systems
- Developing functional process diagrams for System Center services
- Provide Microsoft System Center Engineering support focusing on the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of System Center services
- Designing, installing, provisioning, configuring, optimizing, performance tuning, integrating, and administering System Center solution technologies in a lab environment
- Complying with all applicable security and Information assurance (IA) policies and directives
- Developing comprehensive test cases to include testing scenarios for both normal and degraded (e.g., disaster recovery, continuity of operations, data recovery/spills, etc.) operations, pass/fail criteria, performance criteria, capacity planning, measurement criteria, results analysis procedures, and results/status reporting criteria
- Assist the SSC Pacific Government team in planning, executing and documenting development of system operational verification tests (SOVT) in accordance with SPAWAR M-4720.1, Shore Installation Process Handbook v4.0, 12 Nov 14
- Interfacing with C2 system owners during integration testing preparation and execution
- Performing requirements analysis to capture and incorporate C2 and other component system of systems testing criteria into integration testing scenarios
- Supporting and documenting the implementation of approved changes to system configurations, software, and infrastructure within the approved testing schedule
- Providing ongoing progress to leadership, system owners, and peers regarding health of the environment and status of testing
- Researching and analyzing emerging System Center technologies, techniques, and protocols and making recommendations
- Assisting with procurement of hardware, software, and services
- Supporting the installation of new System Center components, if required
- Perform administrative tasks from the Service Manager console, provide application support
- Review and update System Center Management console security, apply integrated Windows Update Server (WSUS) patches, create management console roles and reviews, and create and install custom Application Catalog software packages for deployment
- Develop reports and dashboards as approved by management
- Deploy workflows for common processes
- Grant permissions to allow responsible groups to manage resources and work queue
- Create and maintain Service Manager templates
- Create, modify and troubleshoot orchestrator workflows

Required Education and Experience:

- Bachelors and nine (9) years experience or 13 years of related experience without the degree.
- Must possess Active Top Secret clearance with a current SSBI and be SCI- eligible
- Must possess a Microsoft Certified Professional – System Center 2016 or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or equivalent/higher certification
- CompTIA Security+ certification
- 5 or more years of demonstrated advanced, hands-on, System Center (SCCM or SCOM) and Active Directory engineering experience supporting the design, installation, configuration, development, integration, implementation, and testing of AD and System Center services in a complex environment with multiple classification enclaves and integrated with DoD C2 systems utilizing associated information assurance processes/procedures
- Must possess demonstrated, hands-on, AD and System Center engineering experience working within one or more virtual environments in a complex enterprise with multiple classification enclaves and integrated with DoD C2 systems utilizing associated information assurance processes/procedures
- Must possess demonstrated advanced experience supporting and troubleshooting AD and System Center issues reported through monitoring or customer submittals
- Must possess demonstrated familiarity with Enterprise IT environments (data center, computing, storage, network, security, replication, backup/recovery, policies and procedures)
- Must possess demonstrated experience in the development and refinement of processes and procedures to ensure efficient, repeatable and effective monitoring and troubleshooting of AD and System Center services
- Must possess advanced interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate effectively, self-awareness, and excellent written and oral communications.
- Must demonstrate the ability to drive efficient resolution of all incidents through analytical and structured approaches to problem solving
