What does a Best Buy Back Office Leader do?

The Back Office Leader has a passion for organization and getting into the details of store operations. They direct accurate reconciliation of all daily cash management processes and back office functions including hiring and on-boarding, ordering supplies, expense control, hardware functionality, time sheet management and maintaining employee files. They partner closely with store employees and leadership, driving profitable results across the store.

Also supports the direction of the Front End Supervisor or Assistant Store Manager in delivering efficient and effective transaction processing, goal attainment, shrink plan integrity, safety and profitability within the store through coaching, training and employee development.

  • Play a lead role in execution of back office processes.

  • Assist store leadership in daily responsibilities to include: hiring processes and new employee on-boarding

  • Provide on-going coaching, training and motivation to team members and other store personnel as needed to achieve financial goals, department and store shrink plans and front of store goals along with high standards of customer service.

  • Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures for transactions and interactions at the front of the store are followed including: visual merchandise standards, checkout, pickup, returns / exchanges / trade-ins, and recycling.

  • Handle necessary authorizations and customer/employee resolutions at the front of store and on the phone.

  • Provide input on employee performance and development needs.

    Basic Qualifications

  • Previous experience in sales, customer service or related field

  • Ability to successfully coach and mentor others

  • Ability to work successfully as part of a team

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of holidays, nights and weekends

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with coaching and recognition

  • 6 months experience in sales environment
