Job Description

Job Title: MSB Development Manager

Department: Sales

Reports To: Vice President of Sales & Marketing

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Grow the region's share of Mid-Size Builder, (MSB) sales in the Residential New Construction market.

  2. Your primary focus is to meet directly with MSB's in the SE Region to drive Carrier and Bryant Brand choices through builder Rebates Program directly to the builder.

  3. Meet directly with Dealers/Contractors to develop and target MSB's through the dealer base in the SE Region.

  4. Secondly you should foster teamwork and cooperation with the Sales team to grow the region's share of Mid-Size Builder sales in the Residential New Construction market. Partner with regional markets and manufacturing staff in keeping customers informed of leading business strategies.

  5. Develop and write Mid-Size Builder Rebate programs for local Mid-Size Builders.

  6. Develop Builder Up-grade options programs to drive incremental margin growth.

  7. Drive business through Account Manager Dealer relationships and directly to local Builders.

  8. Other duties may be assigned.

Operational Excellence

1. Business Strategies

  1. Assist General Manager and Sales Managers in developing a strategic plan that clearly defines meeting or exceeding the region's growth, profitability and sales relative to Mid-Size Builder Residential New Construction.

2. Business Development

  1. Achieve key targets for incremental sales growth over prior year.

Financial Performance

1. Cost Control:

  1. Keep travel expenses within 2017 budget.

  2. Submit monthly expense reports per policy guidelines.

  3. Obtain prior approval of ALL major expenses by Vice President of Sales.

Organizational Alignment

  1. Reports to the VP of Sales.

  2. Enlists the support of GM's, Sales Managers, Account Managers, internal resources, and other sales and management resources as needed.

  3. Closely coordinates market and factory involvement with the strategic accounts.

  4. Works closely with internal and external resources to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution with the key accounts

Employee will be traveling 50% of the time throughout the Greater Charlotte area, through Columbia, SC, and down to Charleston, SC. Candidates can sit in Raleigh, Charlotte, or Columbia.
