Do you have the ability to interact with technical and non-technical users in an understandable and concise manner while solving complex technical issues? You might be the PC Technician Robert Half Technology is looking for. This role may be for you if you are a self-starter and a problem solver who enjoys working in a positive, dynamic environment. For the long term temporary-to-fulltime PC Technician role, you will be positioned in the St Cloud, Minnesota, area. How you will make an impact - Oversee data transfers from PC to PC and troubleshoot software/hardware and break/fix - Own imaging and preparation of new computers - Follow company quality standards to ensure the integrity of all electronic data records - Communicate with suitable vendors to coordinate needed repairs - Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities - Handle disassembly, boxing, movement and setup/installation on site - Provide computer hardware support for PCs, laptops, monitors, servers, and other IT equipment, including diagnoses, repairs, rebuilds, and refurbishments - Take responsibility for technology implementation projects and carry them out - Install and repair printers, troubleshooting problems as needed - Collaborate to test functionality and provide end user support - Manage equipment inventory, collaborating on purchases as needed - Disassemble, box and ship equipment that is out of date Interested candidates should contact Sally Lander at 612-359-4960 or [Click Here to Email Your Resumé].
- Expertise in printers - PC desktop/workstations experience desired - Deep understanding of PC skills - Proven flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments - Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks - CompTIA A+ certification mandatory - 1 - 3 years of experience supporting hardware and software for PC and Mac, and knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and WAN - Ability to multitask effectively - An understanding of networking such as switching and routing is desired - Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently
