Position Summary and Responsibilities

Teledyne Storm Microwave, a leading manufacturer of R/F microwave cable assemblies, is looking for a 2nd shift Assembler (True-up) for a temporary assignment at our Woodridge, IL facility.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing mechanical measurements on cables using height scale and surface plate (Final Inspection)
  • Perform slight adjustments on cable straight lengths and angles to conform to customer mechanical dimension and tolerance (true-up)
  • Filling-out First Article Inspection Report if required by customer
  • Making decisions on cable quality using workmanship standards
  • Heat shrinking marker sleeve material onto cable assemblies
  • Following work instructions
  • Packaging finished goods per work instruction or engineering drawing
    • Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in cable manufacturing/inspection is a plus
  • The candidate must be dependable and reliable
  • Must be able to work independently, be detail oriented, and make good decisions
  • Strong mechanical and/or math background required (making mechanical measurements with tolerances)
  • Must possess a high degree of hand/eye coordination and dexterity
  • Experience in engineering print reading preferred
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Lift, move and carry parts, bins, boxes (weight varies)
  • US Citizen or US Person only

    • THIS IS A 2ND SHIFT POSITION. CANDIDATE MUST BE ABLE TO TRAIN ON 1ST SHIFT FOR A NUMBER OF WEEKS
