We seek a dedicated individual who, while working under the direct supervision of the shift supervisor, will act as primary Clearance and Lockout Authority (CLA) for all Lock Out/Tag Out administration/clearance. 

The individual will also assist the shift supervisor with leading and managing a crew.

Position Requirements

To be considered for this position, the individual must have a high school diploma or general education degree(GED), a minimum of 2 years' power plant control room operations experience, or 3 years of power plant operations experience and/or training in similar technologies.  ASME QRO certification is desired; or must be able to obtain certification within 6 months of hire/promotion.  For internal candidates, qualification training standards must be completed, at Control Room Operator level, and must display competency for both Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF) and Mass Burn Units.

Other position requirements include: 

  • Conferring with technical and supervisory personnel to report or resolve conditions affecting safety, efficiency, or production.

  • Gathering information through observation; receiving turnovers and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources (i.e.; drawings, tags, line diagrams, and valve labels).

  • Examining documents to verify adherence to requirements.

  • Creating and/or verifying Job Safety Analysis and Standard Operating Procedures for use and accuracy.

  • Monitoring instruments to ensure proper production conditions.

  • Stepping  up to cover the Shift Supervisor position, as needed.
  • Assisting  with personnel training using the Operator Qualification Procedures.
