Operational knowledge of machine tools, fabrication equipment, overhead crane, or other service equipment supporting the assembly, manufacture, or repair of nuclear equipment.
• Disassemble, degrease, clean, inspect, install, repair, and assemble basic mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and manufactured components.
•Comprehend basic fundamentals of mechanical parts and equipment, and/or machine metal work pieces, tools or parts.
•Comprehend basic mechanical and/or electrical drawings, codes, schematics, manuals, blueprints and procedures, and record data in the required form.
•Verify basic dimensions with measuring instruments and/or analyze specifications and determine tooling by applying knowledge of metal properties, machining technique, and mathematics.
•Install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, or connectors.
