Job Description Continuous Improvement Project Manager Leads projects in all aspects of our business including operational, customer and corporate areas while delivering business results through focusing on new account on-boarding, continuous improvement processes, waste reduction, and problem-solving opportunities. Responsibilities:
  • Works independently to manage projects utilizing DMAIC framework and other Six Sigma and Lean methodologies. 
  • Works with project team members to determine business needs and requirements, develop project plans, analyze and synthesize data and implement solutions.  
  • Creates and maintains project charter, timelines, key metrics and business requirement documents.
  • Partners with team members and functional leaders in accomplishing project goals. Identifies barriers to success, and solicits help from leadership as and when needed
  • Provides project, process improvement methodology and tool coaching and training to team members who are participating in process improvement project
  • Performs other job related duties and special projects as required.
  • Requirements: 
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, related field of study or equivalent work experience.  
  • Prefer 2 years of related experience in the transportation/supply chain industry with project management and continuous improvement experience. 
  • Candidates must have ability to analyze and document complex business processes, make effective decisions under pressure, think analytically and be a problem solver by gathering and interpreting relevant data and information.
  • Be fluent with data-driven analysis and performance metrics 
  • Strong financial acumen 
  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit with a willingness to ‘roll up sleeves’ and work at all levels of the organization.
  • Be customer focused, demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present progress, and possess excellent interpersonal skills to interface with all team members.
  • Practical experience with continuous improvement methodologies, to include Six Sigma and Lean; preferred candidates will be green belt certified in Six Sigma.
  • Must have strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel as needed; up to 20%.
