Our client in Meriden, CT is looking for a temporary Front End Salesforce Commerce Cloud Developer. Responsible for presentation layer development and production responsibilities to maintain and create a cohesive online shopping experience under the direction of the VP of eCommerce and Marketing.


  1. Own development and production responsibilities across all web properties, including schools, blog and eCommerce websites.

  2. Collaborate with web team and third party vendors to create a professional and engaging website interface and online communications.

  3. Preview and test new web pages and functionality.

  4. Create new content pages to support strategic direction.

  5. Code Marketing Emails and Event Emails

  6. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to continuously improve, develop, and market.

  7. Daily website updates to support marketing promotions.

Required Skills:

Computer Skills and Software: Excellent HTML/CSS programming skills; Understanding of dynamic or active web content and the use of JQuery, JavaScript, and responsive design. Knowledge of CSS preprocessors like LESS or SASS. Experience on both Mac and PC;



Abilities: Ability to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources. Expertise in current Internet standards, including web browsers and browser specifications. Strong understanding of search engine optimization. Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of users and support staff. Strong organizational and analytical skills and be detail oriented. Ability to learn new Internet and authoring technologies relevant for web site development.



Previous Work Experience:

- 2 years minimum Web programming experience, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

- Experience working with relational database systems such as MySQL, MSSQL or DB2 and SQL

- Experience maintaining enterprise ecommerce website via CMS applications

- - Experience developing and implementing open source software projects

- Experience working within a Demandware web environment a plus



Education: Technical bachelor's degree and 2 or more years' related work experience
