BAE Systems is looking for an Executive Assistant to the VP of Engineering. In this role you will perform diversified duties of highly confidential nature for the Vice President of Engineering in Electronic Systems. Requires a high degree of tact, initiative, accuracy and judgment. Must have a thorough understanding of business practices and procedures and the ability to interface well with all levels of management in order to communicate with executive, administrative, and line management personnel to gather or convey relevant information.

Provides confidential services to the Vice President of Engineering in Electronic Systems, which by nature of the position involves high-level contacts and exposure to sensitive information necessitating considerable use of tact, diplomacy, discretion and judgment. Performs a wide range of services for the executive, travel recommendations and reservations, maintaining executive's business and outside appointment on his/her calendar.

Plans and organizes work and develops procedures to meet business requirements. Screens visitors, make appointments, receive telephone calls, mail and other correspondence. Organizes and maintains confidential files and records, such as Human Resources information, security accounts, and other matters. Composes, signs, and releases routine but somewhat complex correspondence and compiles special reports, conducts special projects, and performs administrative duties as required.

Required Skills and Education Requires an Associate’s Degree in Communications or equivalent and a minimum of seven (7) years directly related experience; or a High School education plus one (1) year of specialized instruction and ten (10) years experience. Must be highly skilled in office automation tools.

Requires a high degree of tact, initiative, accuracy, judgment and superior interpersonal skills, a thorough understanding of business practices and procedures and the ability to interface well with all levels of management.

- Must be proficient with MicroSoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other office automation tools/databases
- Seven plus years experience with Outlook and scheduling meetings
- Experience scheduling travel for other employees
- Experience managing expense reports (Concur is Preferred)
- Previous experience supporting a senior executive of a large professional organization highly preferred
- Previous experience supporting a technical organization highly preferredPreferred Skills and Education
