Job Description

Harris Service is one of Utah's most trusted providers of 24/7 emergency response, preventative maintenance programs, retrofits and upgrades for commercial and industrial mechanical systems. Harris Service Intermountain's experienced HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration technicians provide the expertise you need to address the installation and maintenance of chiller, boilers, roof top units, CRAC units and other mechanical systems. Our services and programs focus on the diverse needs of our customers and improve the reliability of their building mechanical systems while reducing energy consumption and costs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Field Productivity:  Provide logistical support to the field to assure maximum output per labor- Qualify every request for service to establish maximum response time requirements.  Communicate schedule to customer.
  • Service Personnel Dispatching:  Dispatch service personnel to satisfy customer problems based on skills, nature of problems, location of problem, and location of personnel.  Effectively match technician skill level with problem while maintaining cost effectiveness.
  • Customer Relations:  Advise service manager of customer complaints to expedite resolution ensuring and maintaining long-term relationships.  Communicate resolution to customer.
  • Mechanical Systems Knowledge:  Maintain understanding of mechanical systems in order to make appropriate decisions in scheduling all types of work (P.M., repairs, replacement, etc.)
  • Sales Support:  Recognize the relationship between good performance, customer satisfaction, and sales opportunities.  Understand sales objectives.  Promote upgrading existing business and the sales of new business by continuously reporting sales leads.
  • SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ year degree preferred in Accounting or related field
  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • 2+ years of experience organizing, planning, and prioritizing work
  • 2+ years Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
  • Demonstrated success in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and enthusiasm to learn.
