Job Description

Summary:

Credit Financial Analysts work in our US Credit Review department completing analysis of existing ISO portfolios and merchant accounts to determine risk exposure and financial strength and to ensure adherence to established policy to minimize risk of losses and ensure portfolio profitability

Job Details:

  • Review ISO portfolio and ISO financial statements taking appropriate action based on research findings.
  • Complete reviews on larger volume merchants.
  • Assist Credit Review Analysts, when needed, with Risk File Reviews and Merchant escalations.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members as needed
  • Interact with ISO Relationship Management, Sales, and Senior Management with regard to communicating financial decisions.
  • Comply with underwriting procedures and guidelines established internally in addition to Sponsor Bank and Card Brand guidelines and regulations
  •  Aid management in the identification of improvement opportunities and internal best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Knowledge of and ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial statements
  • Solid baseline understanding of the credit underwriting process, risks, and importance of sound decision making.
  • Strong knowledge of Credit Analysis procedures and processes.
  • Prefer at least 2 years working in a financial analysis position and/or in a position as an underwriter or partnering with underwriters.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills requiring sensitivity and discretion; capable of analyzing data; strong attention to detail; and the ability to exercise sound judgment.
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting desired
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
