The Strategy Pricing Manager will analyze and develop optimal pricing recommendations for new and expanded products, as well as some promotional tools and sales aids, across all markets. He/she will work cooperatively with product and sales managers to meet their needs while adhering to strategic direction. The ability to address complex, loosely defined issues and deliver comprehensive recommendations to senior management is mandatory. This role will be responsible for providing quantitative analysis with regards to country-wide profitability, country and/or regional price increases, discontinued products and various product and distributor promotional activities as well as design and maintain accurate and effective documentation to support all analyses and provide a historic rationale when reviews are conducted in the future.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review daily reports/transactions to identify exceptions and work with Sales and Operations personnel to ensure proper resolution and to ensure compliance with company pricing policies

  • Margin growth focused position

  • Work closely with management to develop and implement effective pricing strategies

  • Partner with market managers to meet the pricing needs of specific markets

  • Research and analyze pricing to identify potential opportunities to maximize sales and increase profitability

  • Develop and optimize sell pricing matrix to drive margin growth

  • Monitor market and industry trends to insure competiveness

  • Attend sales meetings with markets to learn differences in product and pricing needs

  • Provide analytical support to Sales Organization on pricing and promotional decisions

  • Develop and maintain sales tools to help drive sales and margin growth

  • Run reports and coach sales staff in understanding sell price structure and utilization

  • Adhere to consistent processes and documentation

  • Perform competitive brand pricing comparison studies

  • Submit study to Vendor Factory for cost and price negotiation

  • Act as point of contact of internal and external pricing questions and concerns

  • Must be able to communicate with region on pricing developments and projects

  • Skills

  • Ability to work in a project assignment environment

  • Minimum 3 years' experience with customer service, price negotiations, and/or sales

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to interact cross functionally

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications with expert level Excel skills

  • Experience with MS Access preferred

  • Experience with epaCUBE a plus

  • Pricing Experience a plus

  • HVAC and/or construction wholesale industry knowledge preferred

  • Minimum Qualifications and Experience

    BA or BS in Finance, Accounting or Business
