Benchmark Electronics provides specialized engineering services, including product design, prototyping, automation and test development.This position is within our Minnesota Division in Arden Hills.

Essential Functions and Competencies
Project Managers within Benchmark’s Design Engineering team lead technical development engineering teams and act as the primary customer contact for projects. They have the responsibility for participating in business development, developing technical proposals and then leading the development team and development activities to meet the design requirements, program budget and overall customer expectations to a successful conclusion.

Qualifications / Education / Experience

Manage and lead development team activities as primary day-to-day contact with customers. Interact with customers at appropriate levels on matters related to technology solutions, schedule, quality, cost and engineering change to achieve highest levels of customer satisfaction.

Generate bids or proposals or proposed Statement of Work, including project schedule, deliverables, dependencies and resources, soliciting input from others as necessary. Communicate them effectively to the customer. Create proposals that are competitive with the marketplace and profitable. Develop and ensure compliance to the project plan. Identify and manage change in customer requirements (all scope change), design requirements and internal resources.

Analyze and manage program financial performance to meet company objectives. Keep project management tools updated on a weekly basis to aide in planning of company resources and to predict financial performance.

Level II:

  • 8+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing related to areas of customer product design and development and transitional activity; 8+ years of project management experience

    Level I:

  • 5+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing related to areas of customer product design and development and transitional activity

    4 year Engineering or Technical Degree
