Job Description

The HR Technology Operations Manager

The HR Technology Operations Manager will work with system administrators, analysts and with our development partners to ensure oversight of our core HR system software availability, maintain complete and accurate documentation of system requirements and timely delivery of the defect resolution and production fixes. The HR Technology Operations Manager serves as a liaison between the development team, HR Technology Consulting team, Program Management team and the international HR Technology team throughout bug fix design, development and testing phases.  The Manager also ensures backlog items are appropriately sized, prioritized and planned for production releases.  Supports process improvement activities to align systems and processes to deliver integrated HR solutions to business leaders, managers, and employees. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop employees through coaching and continuous feedback, conduct performance reviews
  • Effectively prioritize, assign and ensure completion of work to direct reports
  • Partner with business stakeholders, development teams and internal HR Technology resources to align business goals with delivery roadmaps
  • Ensure that the team follows processes and performs proper analysis, design, implementation, testing, documentation, and other operational processes.
  • Triage production support issues to be able to engage team members as required.
  • Reviews project documentation and deliverables for quality and adherence to standards
  • Responsible for building a high performing team
  • Seek opportunities to build relationships with key customers and business partners
  • Customer service focused, with an ability to effectively manage expectations, use sound judgment with sensitive topics and escalate concerns when necessary.
  •  Conduct feedback processes to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of resource manager experience.
  • Previous, proven leadership or people management experience required.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Requirements:

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, engineering or related field.
  • 1-2 years of resource management experience required in a fast paced environment including staff selection and training
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current ERP and HRMS Technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a team of resources, on-site and remote
  • Ability to communicate effectively with an executive audience, and clearly communicate technical issues to a non-technical audience.
  • Desired Skills:

  • Exposure to Agile and SDLC development methodologies
  • Knowledge and experience with ERP or HRMS implementations or production support environments
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others to identify and resolve issues
