The Schneider organization has an immediate need for a Driver Manager (Driver Business Leader) to provide frontline leadership to a group of drivers in a fast paced environment. As the Driver Business Leader, you are the key link between the business, drivers and customers. In this safety focused role, you will be accountable for fielding calls from drivers and working one-on-one to solve problems with creative solutions that exceed customer expectations and company objectives. This position broadens your industry knowledge which in turn drives your career to limitless opportunities and positions you for interesting challenges.
Duties to include but not limited to:
Makes safety-conscious decisions. Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures
Makes sound decisions which balance all sides of the “Value Triangle” (customer, driver, business) which result in a high degree of efficiency and effectiveness
Provides on-going direction and leadership to driver and internal associates to ensure superior customer service and key factor achievement through the use of the Performance Management Model
Establishes solid business relationships and maintains open, accurate and timely two-way communications with drivers and internal associates
Facilitates driver and internal non-exempt associate individual development, education, and training through daily coaching and regular business partnerships and performance appraisals

Our preferred candidate will have:
Four year college degree or equivalent work experience in transportation, logistics or leadership required.
Demonstrated excellence as an empowering leader with strong coaching and mentoring skills
Strong work ethic with a professional, positive attitude
Creative problem-solving skills and ability to evaluate multiple solutions to make sound decisions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritize workload and thrive in a fast paced environment
