Job Description

Avante at Harrisonburg Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Resident Support Aide. Perform a variety of non-direct resident care duties and to assist direct caregivers in maintaining a positive physical, social and psychological environment for the residents, under the supervision of a licensed nursing staff member.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Completion of high school or GED equivalent and demonstrate the ability to read, comprehend/understand, speak/converse and take/respond to verbal and written directives in English
  • Prior experience in long-term care, home health or related service industries preferred
  • Must possess a positive mindset and approach towards the elderly and be highly customer service focused
  • Must comply with Resident Rights, Abuse/Neglect, Life Safety, Infection Control and all other policies and procedures set for this position
