MilliporeSigma is the North American life science business of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany and is currently recruiting for a Product Owner/Manager for our Connectivity and Data Analytics portfolio in our Connected Lab Promise Venture to be located in St. Louis, MO (preferred) or in Burlington, MA.

Your Role

As part of our new digital business venture, you will have the opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial and start-up-like environment to shape the product strategy, vision and portfolio for our Connectivity (IoT-based) and Data analytics and informatics platforms. The Product Owner Connectivity/Data will drive product strategy & roadmap, generate value added solutions in collaboration with the team, internal and external customers and other stakeholders, partner closely with the development and commercial teams to define and deliver on the product roadmap.

As the owner of the Connectivity and Data platforms you will utilize your problem-solving skills to deliver solutions that improve or establish laboratory workflows. You will work with multiple global development teams to build scalable software. You will own the product roadmap and strategy, prioritize product features and build communication strategy and messaging. You understand customer needs, actively track competitive activity, identify opportunities within the market place and develop relevant plans to drive sustainable profitable growth.

Who You Are

  • BS degree with 5+ years’ experience, MS degree with 3+ years’ experience, or PHD
  • MBA is a plus
  • Experience in Product Management in SaaS/Enterprise/Cloud based products, familiarity with software products in lab environments a plus
  • Relevant experience in industrial IoT platforms and technology and relevant capabilities in data analytics and informatics preferred
  • Experience in a startup environment preferred
  • Ability to work with global, highly-matrixed agile product teams
  • Experience in driving product initiatives from conception to launch and ensuing iterations
  • Excellent knowledge of Web platforms, technologies, protocols, and publishing tools
  • Demonstrable experience working in an agile product development environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams through influence
  • Excellent written, oral, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Stakeholder Management, Negotiation & Communication Skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, strong analytical skills, big-picture thinking
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of independence
  • Flexible and willing to travel internationally and domestically up to 40%.
