Job Description The Talent Acquisition Manager is a key member of the Talent Team leading a team of strategic Talent Acquisition Partners to attract, engage, retain and measure top talent for KAR Auction Services and its subsidiaries. The focus of this position is to assist in strategically aligning the company for success through programs and initiatives to build strong pipelines; transform the way new and existing talent is viewed; and provide current and useful knowledge through tools, resources and metrics.Salary Range for this role (based upon experience) = $75,000 - $85,000 base salary

  • Directly responsible for managing a team of exempt Talent Acquisition Partners in North America. Managing these team members consists of hiring, coaching, mentoring, brainstorming and developing each member of the team.
  • Develop, implement and manage innovative talent acquisition practices aligned with North American workflows, cost-effective solutions, efficiency and customer focused needs.
  • Participate and contribute in the preparation of global workforce management planning for the organization.  This requires a team and tools that have a strong understanding of the talent markets and a good understanding of company strategy, business organizations, priorities and staffing needs.
  • Contribute and support HR and people managers, as the talent acquisition subject matter expert, in the development of staffing plans; hiring practices and procedures; compliance; solutions; and overall decision-making process on related topics.
  • Partner with other areas of human resources and around the company to maintain strong relationships between technology; Talent Acquisition; and business goals to ensure best practices and transparency throughout the company.
  • Incorporate company strategic initiatives such as college, diversity, and military recruiting into our sourcing plans. This includes establishing goals and driving tactics and actions to ensure success.
  • Lead projects to standardize talent acquisition practices, workflows and metrics, with global scope and contribute to the consolidation of an effective and efficient global Talent Acquisition organization.
  • Assists our Enterprise Optimization Team to identify and qualify a supporting network of staffing agencies, executive search firms, contract recruiters and other partners in order to prepare our departments for short term wins and hard to fill vacancies. Create innovative and customized approaches to supplement traditional sourcing methods and meet internal customer's needs.

  • Qualifications:

  • Seven (7) years of experience in a Talent Acquisition role required – five (5) or more years should be comprised of time recruiting in a large multinational corporation.  A minimum of three (3) years of prior supervisory experience managing a talent acquisition team.
  • Must possess a minimum of four (4) years of at least 2 of the following areas: developing sourcing strategies; designing / implementing talent acquisition strategies; succession planning; college recruiting; global recruiting or executing strategic social media campaigns.
  • A general understanding of HR practices required with prior experience in another role in Human resources outside of talent acquisition preferred.
  • Must have above average computer skills and at least five (5) years experience with recruiting software programs (Workday) and other software such as Excel, Word, SharePoint and PowerPoint, as well as use of the Internet and e-mail. 
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication and time management, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, including use of data, problem solving, and technology.
  • Must possess ability to mentor and teach others to source and attract the right talent, interview job candidates effectively, assess candidates accurately and fulfill talent needs in a timely fashion and be able to train others in these skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent educational experience.
