Position Purpose:

The Technical Assistant provides scheduling services and exam instructions for patients and physician offices and maintains patient flow in a productive, organized, and timely manner. Assures accurate clerical documentation of patient information and exam data. Provides safe and comfortable transportation for patients of all ages.

Job Description Details:

Skills, Knowledge, Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational/technical related college courses preferred.
  • One year medical office experience required.
  • Prior experience in patient care setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.


  • Essential Functions:
  • Meets Health System's Guiding Behaviors and Caring Standards including interpersonal communication and professional conduct expectations.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups (Neonate, Child, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric as applicable).
  • Revenue Management: ensure the accuracy of documenting services and supplies provided to the patients.
  • Transports and prepares patients maintaining patient comfort, dignity, and changing medical needs.
  • Keeps patient history current by accurate data entry of exams and other patient history as defined by protocol manual, and on-going software training.
  • Schedules and coordinates all events surrounding the successful completion of a patient exam.
