Personal Risk Services is looking for a qualified candidate for the AVP, Personal Lines Manager position in Seattle.
As a Personal Lines Manager, you are accountable for: - Developing and implementing business plans that ensure the financial performance of a $70+ million book of business within the context of Chubb's corporate strategies. - Achieving profitable growth for the Seattle branch, which includes the states of Washington, Montana, Idaho and Alaska. - Managing controllable expenses and budgeting
-Effectively managing one (1) business development manager direct report and act as a sales coach - Overseeing successful market penetration and agency management including: - Conducting agency planning and goal setting including continual monitoring of progress. - Acting as a key point of contact to build, maintain and manage producer relationships (including regular agency visits based on business need). - Identifying opportunities for growth within new and existing production sources.
-Managing county focused business development initiatives - Performing front door management to filter new business and reinforce appetite. - Representing one face to the customer for all products and services, including identifying cross sell opportunities. - Soliciting, risk selection and analysis (including documentation), pricing and sales of products and services for new business. - Meeting with new and renewal customers to make sales presentations and negotiate coverage's, price, financial terms and service delivery, as necessary. - Actively participating in a branch team environment with Underwriters, Risk Consulting, Product, Claims and Operations to achieve financial goals and collecting and sharing competitor data - Meeting service standards of a customer focused strategy.
-Developing relationships with Centers of InfluenceDesired knowledge, skills and abilities: - Strong business acumen, analytical and consulting skills. - Knowledge of personal lines underwriting and general commercial insurance industry theories and practices. - Advanced technical expertise and product specific knowledge. - Proven, successful, sales skills. - Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills. - Ability to effectively interact with and influence all levels of internal and external business partners. - Experience developing marketing plans and handling complex accounts. - Ability to adapt to a changing market place and business environment. - Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite as well as other business-related software. - Team leadership and facilitation skills. - Prospecting skills
